Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

We had a fun-filled day on Matthew's birthday this year. The kids had a free coupon to play laser tag so we took them to do that and then Grandma treated us to snow cones afterwards at the park. His Dad bought him some new football cleats because he'll be starting football this week. He is so excited to start playing...mom's a bit nervous about the whole thing!

Matthew chose to go to the Olive Garden for dinner. No complaints from his mom--it's my favorite too!!

This is my attempt at a football cake Matthew begged me to make. He loved it so I guess that's all that matters.

Matthew has been begging for one of these Mario shirts. Looks like a pajama shirt to me:):)

Matthew became a rich man on his birthday. I think he got about $70 between his cousins, grandparents and friends. Thanks everyone for the presents!!

Thanks to Peyton and Noah for the watch and night light they gave Matthew. Now he won't have to use the dim flash light to read every night.

Mathew loves this poster that cousin Michael gave to him. He has it hanging above his bed in his room. We're so happy that Michael came down to hang out with us for the evening. The kids thing he's the greatest even though he loves to tease them:)

Uncle Eric treats us to a firework show every year on Matthew's birthday. It gives him something to look forward to every year. He thinks it's SO special! It was a fun day Matthew--Happy Birthday!!!!!

Canyon Picnic and Hike

We had a fun evening up the canyon having a picnic and small hike with the kids.

Grandma loves her walks!

Josh and Phil got the brunt of this hike carrying Gracie and Noah on their backs. Luckily the rangers stopped us about a fourth of the way up and made us turn around because it was getting to late.

4th of July Fun

The 4th of July was a little more low key for us this year. Josh had to work most the day, so I took the kids to see Ice Age 3 with the family. It was great to have Landon and Tate in town for the weekend as well. Here's a picture of my patriotic little girls!

We had a bar-b-q at my mom's house. It was fun to be with Phil's family again this year and also to have my Aunt Sandra, Aunt Helen and Mark there for the fun.

This picture captured a great moment. My mom had just ticked off her big sister and I told them to look at me and say cheese. This is what we got:)

Do I have myself a little movie star or what???:)

The kids love to do our own fireworks. Uncle Eric lets them all pick out their own to help light. We also went to see the city fireworks. The kids were so worn out by the time we got home.

Is there something wrong with these two pictures below???? Poor Vanessa...Gracie loves her so much and won't leave her alone whenever she comes around.
